I have decided to try for the Marathon du Medoc as my first attempt. It takes place in September next year in Pauillac near Bordeaux. This is only an hour and a half from where I live. Entries open in February.
Bearing in mind that this is a big ask, I am going to aim to complete a half-marathon before then. I have the Semi de Paris in mind which takes place in March. I'll need to be quick to see if I can get a place...
