I went with my wife and eldest daughter to Beaumont de Perigord and the riding school there. While they were occupied doing horsey stuff, I went off for a jog down random trails in the area.
This was enormous fun and, even though the place is hilly, I covered over 20 km. Amongst the highlights were the beautiful and varied woodlands and the streams running through the valleys. The trees offered very welcome shade on such a warm day and I completely drained my water pack long before getting back. A great trip out for me.
